Hey Brew Crew! We have made the difficult decision to cancel the Ales for Trails festival for 2020-2022 due to COVID-19. That being said TRAILS AND BEER ARE NOT CANCELED!

Stay tuned for exclusive activation events to raise awareness and funds for the trail system throughout Fort Smith.

4:00 Bicycle Poker Ride

This 11.5 mile bike ride along the riverfront includes stops along the route to receive cards for your hand with a prize for the best hand! Participants will also receive a beer at the end of the ride so bring your cycling crew and toast to the trails! The ride will start at 4 PM at the beginning of the Greg Smith River Trail and poker ride entry can be purchased online or at the start line for $15.

6:00 5K Beer Run w/ Color Option

Sponsored by True Grit Running and Core Brewing Company, this 5K race along the Greg Smith River Trail includes 3 optional beers at the beginning, middle, and end of the race. This year we will also have race supporters painting the racers (optional) with colored powder along the route so make sure to wear a blank canvas. Participants can expect to receive a participant medal and a shot at winning a custom first place trophy in the male and female category. The race will start at 6 PM at the beginning of the Greg Smith River Trail and race entry can be purchased online or at the start line for $15.

6:30 Baggo/Cornhole Tournament

Baggo Tournament Entry Fee: $20 00 Team of (2), beer, chance at bragging rights!
*DOES NOT INCLUDE FESTIVAL ENTRY

Tournament Rules and Information:

  • Winner is first team to score 21 points or more
  • 3 points for each bag in the hole (That’s a BAGGO!)
  • 1 point for each bag on the board is an Ace
  • Score is the difference in the team totals
  • Boards are 20 feet apart
  • Limit of 20 minutes per game
  • In doubles, team partners face each other from opposite boards
  • Each team plays with 4 bags
  • Opponents alternate tosses until all 8 bags are thrown
  • The round is then scored (See Scoring)
  • The last team to score on previous round tosses first
  • Toss again if any interference occurs
  • Opponents may call Foot Foul and the call must be honored
  • Bags pushed in by an opponent’s toss count as a BAGGO
  • The game is over if the score reaches 11 to Zero (SKUNK)
  • If a bag ever touches the ground or is tossed out of turn, it doesn’t count

 Example: After 1 round of 8 bags played - #1 team with 1 bag in the hole = 3 points - #2 team with 2 bags on the board = 2 points - Score for the 1st round for #1 team = 1 point
 The Championship match will be best 2 out of 3 - All other rounds will be a single match.
 *Tournament organizers reserve the right to amend the rules as they see fit.
